The Education Institute
The Education Institute is a division of Hospice Family Care and was created to promote excellence in end-of-life care by augmenting the education of local medical personnel with up-to-date information on hospice and the many issues associated with end-of-life medical care.
Hospice Family Care is able to offer continuing education credits for nurses and social workers (ABNP #1122, exp. 01/11/14). Classes are free of charge and can be conducted at any time during regular business hours at your office. There are many topics available, from advanced pain management in end-of-life care to spiritual health to caregiver burnout for staff and family members.
Speakers are also available for presentations to local churches, civic organizations and businesses. Topics include general hospice information, differences between hospice organizations, what to ask when choosing a hospice provider, what services are available, etc. Most often, the group requesting a speaker specifies the topic that is most applicable to their members. Our Speakers Bureau is prepared to speak on any hospice-related topic.
